Creche & Co-Working at the Calthorpe Project

Your 3 hour co-working session at the Calthorpe Garden Cafe gives you the opportunity to work, study or learn guilt free, with your little one playing right next door in the creche.  So grab yourself a cup of coffee and a homemade dish from the vegetarian cafe, soak up the view of the lovely garden oasis and get on with that ‘to do’ list!  You’ll also make some great new professional connections and friendships amongst your fellow parent co-workers.  Looking to start a new venture or change career?  We run meet ups and an incubator for entrepreneurial parents who want to make a difference too!

Your little one will love to play and learn in the nature creche, run by Sandra, Nathalie, Lazim and Joanne, the Calthorpe Project’s dedicated, caring, fully qualified, DBS-checked, and highly experienced team.  They offer safe, stimulating, creative sessions for 1-3 years old.  Our spacious play room and gated garden is the ideal early years setting, with the opportunity for ‘field trips’ out to the main garden and food growing areas when you and they are ready. Each session has a maximum of 9 children and you will have the reassurance that they are happy, safe and discovering the natural world whilst you are getting time for yourself right next door.

The co-working cafe and creche runs Tuesdays 10am-12 and Fridays 9.30am – 12.30pm (term times) and costs £24 plus booking fee

  • My daughter thrived in the crèche allowing her to make a smooth transition to nursery a few months later. She particularly enjoyed baking sessions and the friendships she made here increased her social skills.

  • Thank you very much for the workspace, it actually was the most relaxed I had felt in months – being able to do a bit of research and writing without worrying about who was looking after my baby.  It meant I could work with a clear head. I will definitely be using it again.”

  • My daughter has blossomed in the care of the crèche; three wonderful women work hard to make sure she is happy and healthy and I am able to keep my business afloat – and my mind at ease – just a few feet away
