User Experience Design Fundamentals – Tuesday 29 November

November 29, 2016 @ 10:30 am - 1:00 pm

£25

This introductory session will give you a broad understanding of the fundamentals of UX design: particularly early stage research, needs and goals definition, idea generation and iteration. We will focus on fast research and early sketches rather than on polishing a solution.

We will use simple yet powerful research techniques and sketching to find ideas and needs, as well as creating solutions. The course is influenced by a movement called design thinking, which focuses on empathy, problem definition and solutions. It originated in the late 60s and was further developed at Stanford University as well as at IDEO, a world-renown design agency.

You will listen to short presentations and do practical exercises to gain first-hand experience of the process. It is taught in an inclusive, relaxed atmosphere where everyone is encouraged to participate and have fun.

The session is run by UX design expert and parent entrepreneur Sophie Lepinoy
