Start Up Programme

Need more than a ‘how to’ start up webinar or book, but not sure you’re ready for the long term commitment of an accelerator?

If you’re building a future CIC, BCorp or charity, or have an idea but are struggling to find your focus, customers and funders we’d love to work with you to realise your vision

We are now taking applications for our Spring 2021 small group programme beginning on Wednesday 13 January 2021

Over the initial 5 week programme you’ll step back from the day to day overwhelm and set yourself strategic and achievable goals based on a business plan that makes sense for you and attracts the early adopters who will help you to scale.  At the end of the start up programme you’ll have 4 monthly goal setting sessions to keep you on track

You’ll have the benefit of expertise, support and feedback from like minded ethical founders in your cohort, and 200+ Bloomsbury Beginnings’ alumni

We also offer a 1:1 version of the programme.  For more details about this, email

Whether you’ve been working on your project for a while, need to change direction, or are just starting out these sessions are for you

If you want to make sure we’re right for you, and that you get the most from the programme, why not book a 1:1 taster session with the course director?  You’ll discuss your unique opportunities and challenges, learn how to use the business modelling tools and be matched with other social impact founders whose propositions or stage of development compliment yours.  This session costs £40, which will be deducted from the price of the full programme if you decide to go ahead

Course fee:  £300

We will be able to offer face to face groups again in the beautiful, peaceful surroundings of Calthorpe Community Garden in central London once social distancing regulations allow.

As a social enterprise, we offer a limited number of free bursary places on our courses to people on a low income with ideas which tackle significant social, economic or environmental problems. Please contact for further details
